What are the special features of the CuZnAlNiTi-based material MT31?
MT31 is a high-performance alloy that belongs to the group of special brass.
This alloy was developed as a material for “thermal spraying processes” and, due to its alloy composition, is characterised by outstanding wear protection behaviour for the wear case “many load changes with short-time stresses”.
Application temperature range of the wear layer: -30° to 120°C
Currently applied layer thicknesses: approx. 10 – 20 µm
Wear case: Many load changes with short-term stresses (approx. 250,000 to 300,000 switching operations during a service life of 15 years)
